Alicia Rogers
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Get to know Alicia Rogers
I decided I wanted to be in this field when I was in high school, someone who became exposed to the world of mental health early on as many therapists were. I wanted to give people a place where they could feel seen and heard, where they could get the support and validation they need to help them get through difficult times. In my work, I strive to provide a space where clients feel safe to be fully themselves. I aim to empower them and help them build the confidence and self-compassion that will help them lead more fulfilling lives. I look at my clients in the context of their lives, experiences, communities, and culture to help both of us build a better understanding of how they have developed into who they are today. Even though a lot of the content of therapy can be heavy and vulnerable, I think it’s vital to be able to laugh together too and enjoy the good times. I bring my sense of humor and personality into the room, in the hopes that you can feel comfortable to bring all the parts of you to the room too.

About Alicia Rogers
Alicia is a licensed clinical social worker with a passion for helping clients embrace all of the parts of themselves. She works primarily with those with a history of trauma, individuals experiencing anxiety or mood disorders. Alicia graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northeastern University in Boston and earned a master’s degree in social work from Boston College. Alicia has worked in many different spaces in the mental health world including residential treatment for children and pre-teens, a group home for unaccompanied refugee minors, a public high school in Boston, and a psychiatric rehabilitation program for those with psychotic disorders. Alicia also has experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in multiple settings. She currently works in both private practice and in a community mental health center to provide therapy services to a variety of clients. Alicia primarily uses an insight-oriented approach to help her clients relate their past experiences to the ways they think, feel, and act in their daily life. She assists clients in building different skills throughout the process and uses interventions from Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness to help clients through the process of gaining more insight and compassion for themselves.
