Get to know Erin Lipin

Growing up, I remember struggling with feeling comfortable sharing my thoughts and feelings with others. Over time and a lot of self discovery, I was able to gain confidence, learn who I wanted to be, and to embrace my strengths.  Ultimately this is what led me to becoming a therapist. I wanted to encourage others  to discover their voice, understand themselves, and to have an approachable place to do so.

About Erin Lipin

Erin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 12 years of experience, providing mental health treatment within diverse treatment settings.  She received a Bachelor’s in Social Work in 2007 and a Master’s in Social Work in 2008, with a concentration in mental health from Loyola University of Chicago.  She has worked with clients of all ages who have sought services for various presenting problems and mental health conditions.  Throughout her career, Erin has worked in community mental health and developed an in-home therapy program for older adults. Erin has also worked in traditional therapeutic settings with young adults struggling with transitions, anxiety and depression as well as, with those struggling with other mental health conditions, relationships, and grief. These experiences have resulted in Erin’s passion to provide trauma informed therapy tailored to each person while considering their values, motivation, and goals. Erin believes therapy should be a nonjudgmental experience, so her client has the opportunity to challenge and learn more about themself. She utilizes a strengths-based therapy approach, using a variety of techniques to help guide and facilitate her clients to develop a deeper understanding of themselves along with finding more effective ways of addressing life’s obstacles.
