Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D)

Get to know Dr. Samantha Fox
I have always been interested in how people could be in the same situation, but have different outcomes or views of it. This led to my desire to understand more about the brain as well as how certain experiences affected an individual. While in college, I decided to add to my understanding by also learning about societal constructs and their roles within an individual’s life. Double majoring in psychology and sociology provided a framework that has informed my approach as a clinical psychologist to seeing the multiple systems and experiences that have contributed to one’s struggles and views of themselves, others, and their world. Based on this exploration, I view my role as helping someone work through their past and embrace their true identity instead of solely defining themselves by these former experiences.

About Dr. Samantha Fox
Dr. Samantha Fox earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Adler University. Dr. Fox has worked in a variety of mental health settings including a forensic residential facility, community mental health center, inpatient and partial psychiatric hospital, and therapeutic day schools for individuals with behavioral, developmental, and emotional disorders. Through these placements, Dr. Fox treated an array of children, adolescents, and adults with a broad range of mental health disorders, social issues, and developmental disabilities. This led to her clinical interest in treating adolescents, young adults, and adults with various mood, anxiety, relationship, and other social issues.
